Monika Rüegger

Monika Rüegger is a Swiss politician who has served as a member of the National Council of Switzerland since 2019, representing the canton of Obwalden. She holds the distinction of being the first woman to represent the Obwalden constituency at the federal level. Prior to her election to the National Council, she served as a member of the Cantonal Council of Obwalden from 2010 to 2020. She is a member of the Swiss People's Party and continues to be active in national legislative affairs.
