He previously held office as the Federal Minister for Religious Affairs and Inter-faith Harmony from 2022 to 2023. A longtime member of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F) before joining the Pakistan Peoples Party in 2024, he is also known as the founder and chairman of ACM Group.
