Nancy Ascencio is a Venezuelan politician currently serving as a member of the National Assembly representing Bolívar State. Her legislative career includes service on the Permanent Commission of Comptroller between 2011 and 2016, and she has been a member of the Commission of Ecosocialism since 2021, where she also holds a vice-presidential role. Prior to her legislative career, she worked as a socio-political coordinator for the Misión Mercal, served as an administrative director for the Bolívar State Police, and held a management position at CVG Carbonorca. She has been a controversial figure, notably involved in physical altercations within the National Assembly in 2013.
