National Economic Council

Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan is an Indonesian politician and retired military officer who currently serves as the Chairperson of the National Economic Council, a position he assumed on October 21, 2024. A veteran figure in Indonesian governance, he has previously held several high-ranking ministerial roles under the administrations of Abdurrahman Wahid and Joko Widodo. As the head of the re-established National Economic Council, he is responsible for advising the President on strategic economic policy formulation and recommendations.
