山口 那津男

Natsuo Yamaguchi is a veteran Japanese politician serving as a member of the House of Councillors. A lawyer by profession, he previously served in the House of Representatives before his long tenure as the chief representative of Komeito from 2009 to 2024. Throughout his career, he has advocated for progressive social policies, including the implementation of a selective surname system for married couples, the legalization of same-sex marriage, and the expansion of voting rights for permanent foreign residents.
