Nelson Janßen is a German politician and a member of the Bremische Bürgerschaft, representing the constituency of Bremerhaven. Born in Wuppertal in 1990, he studied political science at the University of Bremen and became active in the youth organization Linksjugend ['solid]. He joined the party The Left in 2009 and served as a local council member in Haan from 2010 to 2014. Since his election to the state parliament in 2015, he has held various leadership roles, including serving as co-chair of the parliamentary group. His policy focus areas include health, internal affairs, climate protection, and the development of Bremerhaven.
