Nguyễn Xuân Phúc

Nguyễn Xuân Phúc is a Vietnamese former politician who served as the 11th President of Vietnam from 2021 to 2023 and as the 7th Prime Minister of Vietnam from 2016 to 2021. A long-time member of the Communist Party of Vietnam and its Politburo, he oversaw significant economic growth and led the national response to the COVID-19 pandemic during his premiership. In January 2023, he resigned from his positions as President and Politburo member, taking responsibility for corruption scandals involving his subordinates.
