Nicholas Smith

Nicholas Smith is an American politician serving as a Democratic member of the Illinois House of Representatives for the 34th district. Appointed to the legislature to fill a vacancy, he has held leadership roles including Majority Officer and Sergeant at Arms for the Democratic caucus. Before his legislative career, Smith worked as a Ward Superintendent for Chicago's 9th ward, a legislative aide to the Chicago City Council Transportation Committee, and a community liaison for Chicago State University. He is actively involved in economic development initiatives, including serving on the Roseland Community Medical District Commission.
