Nico Klose

Nico Klose is a German local politician currently serving as the Lord Mayor of Neubrandenburg, a position he assumed in July 2025. Before his election as mayor, he served as the mayor of the municipality of Neverin from 2019 to 2025 and was a member of the district council of Mecklenburgische Seenplatte. Klose began his professional career as a wholesale and foreign trade merchant and later operated his own insurance agency. Although he ran as an independent candidate, his mayoral campaign received support from the SPD and Alliance 90/The Greens.
