Nicola Irto

Nicola Irto is an Italian politician currently serving as a member of the Senate of the Republic, elected in 2022. Born in Reggio Calabria, he holds a degree in architecture and a doctorate in territorial planning from the Mediterranea University of Reggio Calabria. Before entering national politics, he served as a municipal councillor in Reggio Calabria and as a member and president of the Regional Council of Calabria. A long-time member of the Democratic Party, he has held various regional leadership roles and currently serves on several parliamentary commissions, including those focused on the environment, energy, and regional affairs.
