Nicoletta Fabio

Nicoletta Fabio is an Italian politician serving as the Mayor of Siena since June 2023. She is the first woman to hold this office in the city's history. Before entering politics, Fabio had a long career as a teacher of literature and Latin in secondary schools and as a journalist. She has been deeply involved in the cultural life of Siena, having served as the prior of the Contrada Sovrana dell'Istrice and as the Rector of the Magistrato delle Contrade. She was elected as a center-right candidate.
