Nikorn Somklang is a Thai politician currently serving as the Minister of Social Development and Human Security and as a Member of the House of Representatives for Nakhon Ratchasima. Born on February 9, 1981, in Phimai, Nakhon Ratchasima, he is the son of former MP Somsak Somklang. He holds a bachelor's degree in engineering from Suranaree University of Technology and a master's degree in science from the University of Hannover in Germany. Before his election to the House of Representatives, he served as the secretary to the president of the Nakhon Ratchasima Provincial Administrative Organization. Throughout his parliamentary career, he has held various roles, including spokesperson for the committee on budget management and secretary to the extraordinary committee on the annual expenditure budget bill.
