Norbert Hofer

Norbert Hofer is an Austrian politician and a member of the Burgenland Landtag. A prominent figure in the Freedom Party of Austria (FPÖ), he previously served as the Federal Minister for Transport, Innovation and Technology from 2017 to 2019 and held the position of Third President of the National Council during multiple terms. Hofer was the FPÖ's candidate in the 2016 Austrian presidential election, where he reached the runoff. Throughout his career, he has focused on issues such as national sovereignty, border security, and opposition to centralized European Union policies.
