Nydza Irizarry Algarín

Nydza Irizarry Algarín is a Puerto Rican attorney and executive who previously served as the designated Secretary of the Department of Labor and Human Resources. With over 30 years of experience in legal affairs, human resources, and labor relations, she also held the role of executive director for the Office of Administration and Transformation of Human Resources of the Government of Puerto Rico. In May 2025, her cabinet nomination was withdrawn by Governor Jenniffer González Colón, after which she transitioned to the labor legal team at La Fortaleza.
