Волошин, Олег Анатольевич

Oleh Voloshyn is a former Ukrainian politician, diplomat, and journalist who served as a People's Deputy of Ukraine in the 9th convocation from 2019 to 2023. A graduate of the Institute of International Relations at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, he previously held positions as a press attaché at the Ukrainian Embassy in Russia and as a director at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Throughout his career, Voloshyn was known for his pro-Russian political stances and media work. He resigned his parliamentary mandate in January 2023 and subsequently faced criminal charges in Ukraine related to high treason. He has been subject to international sanctions by the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and the European Union for his role in spreading disinformation and supporting Russian destabilization efforts in Ukraine.
