Opiyo Wandayi

James Opiyo Wandayi is a Kenyan politician and development economist currently serving as the Cabinet Secretary of Energy and Petroleum. Previously, he represented the Ugunja Constituency in the National Assembly of Kenya, where he served as the Minority Leader. A member of the Orange Democratic Movement, Wandayi has been a prominent figure in Kenyan politics, known for his vocal opposition and parliamentary activism. He holds multiple academic qualifications, including an MBA from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology, and has been awarded the Moran of the Order of the Golden Heart and the Chief of the Order of the Burning Spear for his public service.
