Pavel Žáček

Pavel Žáček is a Czech academic, politician, and historian born on May 18, 1969. He served as the first Director of the Institute for the Study of Totalitarian Regimes and was elected to the Chamber of Deputies in 2017 as a Civic Democratic MP. He holds an M.A. and a PhD in Mass Communication from Charles University and is a founding signatory of the Prague Declaration on European Conscience and Communism.
