Peter Akpatason is a Nigerian politician currently serving as a member of the House of Representatives, representing the Akoko-Edo constituency of Edo State. Born on November 28, 1964, in Uneme Nekwah, he previously served as the President of the Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG) from 2001 to 2009. Before entering politics in 2011, he worked with the Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria. During his legislative career, he served as the Deputy Majority Leader of the 9th Assembly and currently chairs the House Committee on Telecommunications in the 10th Assembly.
