
Petra Fretter

Petra Fretter is a German politician and member of the Landtag of Saarland. Born in 1959 in Saarbrücken, she worked as a medical laboratory assistant before entering politics. She joined the Christian Democratic Union (CDU) in 1994 and has served in various local government roles, including as the local head of Karlsbrunn since 2003. Fretter first entered the state parliament in 2016 and, following a brief interruption in 2022, returned to the Landtag later that same year. Throughout her parliamentary career, she has focused on social, health, and family policy, as well as data protection and information freedom.
