Pierre Moreau

Pierre Moreau is a Canadian politician and lawyer who currently serves as the Representative of the Government in the Senate of Canada, having been appointed to the Senate in 2024. Before his federal appointment, he had a long career in provincial politics as a member of the National Assembly of Quebec, where he held several cabinet positions, including Minister of Municipal Affairs and Land Occupancy, Minister of Education, and Minister of Transports. A former lawyer specializing in municipal and administrative law, he practiced for over two decades and taught at the École du Barreau du Québec. He remains a prominent figure in Canadian public life, having previously served as a key member of the Quebec Liberal Party before his transition to federal service.
