Prakash Koliwad

Prakash Koliwad is an Indian politician serving as a Member of the Karnataka Legislative Assembly representing the Ranebennur constituency. Born in 1969, he is the son of Krishnappa Koliwad, who formerly served as the 21st Speaker of the Karnataka Legislative Assembly. Koliwad holds a bachelor's degree in Engineering, which he earned from Malnad Technical College in Hassan in 1991. He was elected to the state assembly in 2023 as a candidate for the Indian National Congress, defeating his opponent by a margin of 9,800 votes.
