Pramod Sawant

Pramod Sawant is an Indian politician and former medical practitioner who has served as the Chief Minister of Goa since March 2019. A member of the Bharatiya Janata Party, he has represented the Sanquelim constituency in the Goa Legislative Assembly since 2012 and previously served as the Speaker of the Assembly. With a background in Ayurveda and social work, Sawant has been associated with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh since his youth and continues to play a central role in Goa's state governance.
