Pulaali'i Tuiteleleapaga Iuli Nikolao Pula is an American Samoan politician serving as the ninth Governor of American Samoa since 2025. A member of the Republican Party, he previously had a distinguished career in the United States Department of the Interior, where he served as the Director of the Office of Insular Affairs from 2002 to 2022. Throughout his career, he has held various roles in Washington, D.C., including working for Senator Daniel Inouye and the U.S. House of Representatives. Pula is the first Republican governor of the territory since 1993.
