Raúl Jalil

Raúl Alejandro Jalil is an Argentine politician currently serving as the Governor of Catamarca Province, a position he has held since December 2019. Before his governorship, he served as the mayor of San Fernando del Valle de Catamarca from 2011 to 2019 and was a member of the provincial legislature. Educated in economics and administration at the University of Belgrano, Jalil is a member of the Justicialist Party. He has expressed personal opposition to the legalization of abortion while supporting continued legislative debate on the matter.
