Rachmad Gobel

Rachmad Gobel is an Indonesian politician and prominent businessman who currently serves as a member of the House of Representatives of Indonesia. Born in 1962, he is a key figure in the Gobel Group, which manages PT Panasonic Gobel Indonesia. Before his legislative career, he served as the Minister of Trade in the Working Cabinet under President Joko Widodo from 2014 to 2015. Known for his extensive background in industrial manufacturing and international trade, he has held leadership roles in various business associations, including the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin). He was first elected to the House of Representatives in 2019 and successfully secured a second term in the 2024 general election.
