Red Dawn Foster is an American politician serving as a member of the South Dakota Senate representing the 27th district. A member of the Oglala Sioux and Navajo tribes, she was first elected in 2018 and has focused her legislative career on advocating for Native American rights, including the promotion of Indigenous history in school curricula and addressing the crisis of missing and murdered Indigenous persons.
