Ricardo Nunes is a Brazilian politician and businessman currently serving as the Mayor of São Paulo. He began his political career as a city councillor in 2012, where he gained prominence for investigating tax evasion and advocating for conservative policies. After serving as vice mayor under Bruno Covas, he assumed the office of mayor in 2021 following the death of his predecessor. Nunes was subsequently elected to a full term in his own right in 2024. Outside of his political career, he is a successful entrepreneur in the pest control industry.
