Richard Brabec

Richard Brabec is a Czech politician currently serving as the Governor of the Ústí nad Labem Region. Before his election as governor in November 2024, he held significant national roles, including serving as the Minister for the Environment from 2014 to 2021 and as Deputy Prime Minister of the Czech Republic from 2017 to 2019. A member of the ANO 2011 party, he first entered the Chamber of Deputies in 2013. Prior to his political career, Brabec was a manager in the chemical industry, working for companies such as Unipetrol, Spolana Neratovice, and Lovochemie.
