Roberto Calderoli is an Italian politician currently serving as the Minister for Regional Affairs and Autonomies in the Meloni government. A long-standing member of the Lega party, he has held numerous high-level positions, including Minister for Institutional Reforms and Devolution and Minister for Legislative Simplification. Throughout his career, he has been a prominent figure in the Italian Senate, serving multiple terms as Vice President. Known for his advocacy of regional autonomy and federalist reforms, Calderoli has also been a central, albeit controversial, figure in Italian electoral law, having authored the 2005 electoral system often referred to as the 'Porcellum'.
