Roberto Giachetti

Roberto Giachetti is an Italian politician and a long-serving member of the Chamber of Deputies, first elected in 2001. A former member of the Radical Party and the Democratic Party, he joined Italia Viva in 2019. Throughout his career, he has been known for his expertise in parliamentary regulations and his advocacy for electoral reform. Giachetti previously served as Vice-President of the Chamber of Deputies and was the center-left candidate for Mayor of Rome in 2016. He is recognized for his liberal-democratic political stance and his frequent use of hunger strikes as a form of political protest.
