Roberto Marti

Roberto Marti is an Italian politician currently serving as a member of the Senate of the Republic and as the President of the 7th Permanent Commission (Culture, Education, Research, and Sport). A native of Lecce, he began his political career in local government, serving as a city councilor and assessor in Lecce before being elected to the Chamber of Deputies in 2013. He transitioned to the Senate in 2018 and has held various leadership roles within the Lega party, including regional commissioner for Puglia and Basilicata. Throughout his parliamentary career, he has focused on social affairs, production activities, and educational reform, notably acting as the rapporteur for legislation establishing professional standards for pedagogists and educators.
