Roman Baber

Roman Baber is a Canadian politician serving as the Member of Parliament for York Centre since 2025. Born in the Soviet Union and raised in Israel before immigrating to Canada, he is a lawyer by profession. Baber previously served as a Member of Provincial Parliament (MPP) for York Centre from 2018 to 2022, during which time he gained national attention for his vocal opposition to COVID-19 lockdown measures. He later ran as a candidate in the 2022 Conservative Party of Canada leadership election, advocating for democratic reform and fiscal conservatism.
