James Ronald Stephens is an American pharmacist and politician currently serving as a member of the Georgia House of Representatives for the 164th District. First elected to the state legislature in 1997, he has maintained his seat through multiple re-elections. Prior to his legislative career, he served on the Garden City Council and worked as a pharmacist. He is notably recognized for authoring the 2000 Stephens-Day property tax limit measure, which became effective in 2001. Stephens resides in Savannah, Georgia.
