Roopa Ganguly is an Indian politician, actress, and playback singer. She gained widespread national recognition for her portrayal of Draupadi in B.R. Chopra's television series Mahabharat (1988–1990). Transitioning into politics, she joined the Bharatiya Janata Party and served as the President of the BJP Mahila Morcha in West Bengal. In 2016, she was nominated as a Member of Parliament in the Rajya Sabha, where she served until the conclusion of her term. Throughout her career, she has been recognized for her versatility in both Bengali and Hindi cinema, receiving multiple awards including a National Film Award.
