Rumen Radev

Rumen Radev is a Bulgarian politician, former military officer, and the Prime Minister of Bulgaria. He previously served as the president of Bulgaria from 2017 until his resignation in 2026, and formerly commanded the Bulgarian Air Force holding the rank of major general. Following his resignation from the presidency, he founded the centre-left and populist Progressive Bulgaria party, leading it to a landslide victory in the 2026 parliamentary election and becoming the first person in the country's history to serve as both President and Prime Minister.
