Rune Støstad is a Norwegian politician representing the Labour Party in the Storting. Born on January 8, 1972, in Vinstra, he pursued an education in journalism at Volda University College and later earned a degree from the BI Norwegian Business School. Before his election to the national parliament in 2021, Støstad served as a member of the municipal council of Nord-Fron Municipality starting in 2011 and held the position of mayor of Nord-Fron from 2015 to 2021. He currently serves as a representative for the constituency of Oppland.
