Søren Gade

Søren Gade is a Danish politician who has served as the Speaker of the Folketing since November 2022. A member of the Liberal party, Venstre, he previously served as the Minister of Defence from 2004 to 2010 and as a Member of the European Parliament from 2019 to 2022. Before his political career, Gade worked as a military officer and a business executive, including a tenure as CEO of the Danish agricultural organization Landbrug & Fødevarer. Throughout his career, he has been involved in significant national security and European policy discussions.
