Saara Kuugongelwa-Amadhila is a Namibian politician serving as the Speaker of the National Assembly of Namibia since March 2025. She previously served as the Prime Minister of Namibia from 2015 to 2025 as the first woman to hold the position, and was the Minister of Finance from 2003 to 2015. A member of the South West Africa People's Organization (SWAPO), she has been a member of the National Assembly since 1995 and has been an outspoken advocate for gender equality and closing the gender pay gap across Africa.
