A graduate of Central Queensland University, she previously served as a councillor for the Shire of Noosa following its de-amalgamation in 2013. Before her election to the state parliament, she was active in local government and was a candidate for the Noosa mayoralty in 2016. As an independent representative, she has focused on regional economic development and local community issues within the Noosa electorate.
