Sanjay Deshmukh

Sanjay Uttamrao Deshmukh is an Indian politician currently serving as a Member of the Lok Sabha for the Yavatmal–Washim constituency. He previously served as a member of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly for the Digras constituency, winning elections in 1999 and 2004 as an independent candidate. During his tenure in the state assembly, he also served as the Minister of Sports for Maharashtra from 2002 to 2004. Beyond his legislative career, Deshmukh is a prominent social activist and the founder of several charitable organizations, including the Ishwar Deshmukh Foundation, which focuses on providing education and vocational training to underprivileged children and women.
