Sarah Jones is a British Labour Party politician serving as the Member of Parliament for Croydon West since 2024, having previously represented Croydon Central since 2017. Appointed Minister of State for Policing and Crime in September 2025, she previously served as Minister of State for Industry. Before her parliamentary career, Jones worked in the public and private sectors, including roles at the housing charity Shelter, the NHS Confederation, and as a senior civil servant involved in the 2012 London Olympics. A vocal advocate for fire safety reform and tackling knife crime, she founded the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Knife Crime.
