Saulius Skvernelis is a Lithuanian politician who currently serves as a member of the Seimas. He previously held the office of Prime Minister of Lithuania from 2016 to 2020 and served as Minister of the Interior from 2014 to 2016. Before entering politics, he had a distinguished career in law enforcement, rising to become the General Commissioner of Police of Lithuania. Known as a pragmatic politician, he founded the Union of Democrats "For Lithuania" in 2022 and served as the Speaker of the Seimas from November 2024 to September 2025.
