Sergio Gahona is a Chilean politician and member of the Independent Democratic Union (UDI). He has served as a Senator of Chile representing the Coquimbo Region since March 2022. Previously, he served as a member of the Chamber of Deputies of Chile from 2014 to 2022 and as the Intendant of the Coquimbo Region from 2010 to 2012 under President Sebastián Piñera. A midwife and educator by training, he has also held academic management roles and leadership positions within his party.
