Shahram Khan Tarakai

Shahram Khan Tarakai is a Pakistani politician currently serving as a member of the National Assembly of Pakistan since February 2024. A prominent figure from Swabi, he previously served as a member of the Provincial Assembly of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and held various provincial ministerial portfolios, including Local Government, Elections and Rural Development, and Elementary and Secondary Education. Tarakai began his political career as a District Nazim in 2005 and later co-founded the Awami Jamhuri Ittehad Pakistan before merging it with the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf. He is also known for his background as an industrialist in the tobacco sector and his philanthropic activities within his constituency.
