Shahram Khan Tarakai

Shahram Khan Tarakai is a Pakistani politician currently serving as a member of the National Assembly of Pakistan since February 2024. A prominent figure in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa politics, he previously served as the Provincial Minister for Elementary and Secondary Education, as well as Minister for Local Government, Elections and Rural Development. Tarakai began his political career as the District Nazim of Swabi in 2005 and later co-founded the Awami Jamhuri Ittehad Pakistan before merging it with the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf. He is also a notable industrialist with significant involvement in the tobacco industry.
