Shingo Mekata is a Japanese politician currently serving as a member of the Shiga Prefectural Assembly, representing Otsu City. A member of the Liberal Democratic Party, he has been elected to the assembly four times. Before entering politics, he worked at Mekata Construction, eventually serving as its representative director.
