末松信介

Shinsuke Suematsu is a Japanese politician serving as a member of the House of Councillors, representing the Hyogo Prefecture constituency. A long-time member of the Liberal Democratic Party, he has held several high-profile government positions, including Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, and Minister for the Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games. Before entering national politics, he served as a member of the Hyogo Prefectural Assembly. Suematsu is known for his conservative policy positions, including support for constitutional reform, strengthening national defense capabilities, and maintaining the current energy policy. In 2024, he resigned from his position as Chairman of the House of Councillors Budget Committee following his involvement in the Liberal Democratic Party's political funding scandal.
