Simone McGurk

Simone McGurk is an Australian politician serving as the member for Fremantle in the Western Australian Legislative Assembly. A member of the Labor Party, she has held various ministerial portfolios, including Creative Industries, Heritage, Industrial Relations, Aged Care and Seniors, and Women. Before entering parliament, she had an extensive career in the trade union movement, serving as Secretary of UnionsWA and as an official for the Australian Manufacturing Workers Union and United Voice. Throughout her political career, she has focused on family and domestic violence reform, child protection, and modernizing state industrial relations systems to enhance worker protections.
