İsmet Güneşhan

İsmet Güneşhan is a Turkish politician currently serving as a Member of the Grand National Assembly for the province of Çanakkale. Born in 1962 in Besni, Adıyaman, he completed his education in Çanakkale before graduating from the Ankara University Faculty of Political Sciences in 1986. Throughout his career, he has held various local government positions, including serving as a member of the Çanakkale Municipal Council and as Deputy Mayor. A long-time member of the Republican People's Party (CHP), he has held several provincial leadership roles and has been active in local civil society organizations. He was elected to the 28th Parliament of Turkey in 2023 and serves on the Committee on National Education, Culture, Youth and Sports.
