Sophie Mette is a French politician serving as a member of the National Assembly for the 9th constituency of Gironde since 2017. A member of the Democratic Movement (MoDem), she previously served as a regional councillor for Aquitaine and later Nouvelle-Aquitaine, as well as a municipal councillor in Bazas. Throughout her parliamentary career, she has been involved in cultural and environmental policy, including serving as a rapporteur for the mission overseeing the restoration of Notre-Dame de Paris. She is also a member of the Superior Council of Forests and Wood.
