Soraya Santos is a Brazilian politician and lawyer currently serving as a federal deputy representing the state of Rio de Janeiro. A graduate of the Fluminense Federal University, she began her political career as a militant in the Democratic Labour Party before joining the Brazilian Democratic Movement and later the Liberal Party. Throughout her tenure in the Chamber of Deputies, she has held leadership roles, including serving as the first secretary of the Chamber and chairing the Commission on Obstetric Violence and Maternal Death. Her legislative record includes support for the 2017 labor reforms and the impeachment of former president Dilma Rousseff.
